As if the records and the firsts weren't enough, the game was won with 1.7 seconds left on the clock, as Keith Welch found Shawn Evans in the back of the endzone to take the lead 67-64. This play followed a 23 yard kickoff return, a 39 yard pass from Welch to Evans, and a heartbreaking incompletion that was overturned from a touchdown on a pass from Welch to Andrew Frisina.
