Filipino Brotherhood

Evaristo Laron and Jonel Iliscupidez (aka Baby Risto) have found many common bonds through the first week of camp. They both can serve as their counterpart's doppelganger, they both play linebacker, both are from California, and most importantly they both have Filipino lineage.

Laron, a 3-year letterman, is set to return as one of the main linebackers for the 2012 season. Iliscupidez is a freshman and is working hard to make his mark on the Lewis and Clark program this year. Check back for interviews with Laron and Iliscupidez about their Filipino brotherhood.

REPORT DAY!

The 2012 football season has finally arrived on Palatine Hill. It was report day today for the Pioneers and a busy one at that. It was a day of setting foot on a college campus filled with excitement for the rookies and a time to reunite with teammates from the summer vacation for the veterans. All eager to get back on the field and kick off the 2012 season.

The Pioneers look to build on a great 2011 season, where they played for the Northwest Conference championship and finished with an overall record of 7-2. It was the best season since 1991 and gave everyone plenty to cheer about, which was apparent in the post season accolades. These accolades included 2 All-Americans, 16 All-Conference selections, Northwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year, and Head coach Chris Sulages was voted the West Region Coach of the Year.

There will be 7 All-Conference players returning, including the Northwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year Keith Welch. Along with the returners, Lewis and Clark added another 30 players to their roster this season, many of which were All-Conference and All-League players in high school. All of this added together makes it look like the 2012 season will be another season to remember.
